Privacy policy

PopTrace measures the game, not the person. This page explains the small amount of anonymous data needed to run Daily, Arcade and live Duel.

Data we collect

PopTrace does not require an account, name, email address, precise location, contacts, advertising identifier or payment information.

  • An anonymous player identifier and per-visit session identifier.
  • Gameplay activity such as attempts, timing, accuracy, phases reached, runs finished and duel state.
  • A coarse device class and country supplied by Cloudflare at the network edge. The app does not request device location.
02

Why we use it

We use this information to run the game, enforce one ranked Daily attempt per anonymous player, operate live Duels, show personal history and improve difficulty, reliability and usability.

03

Cookies and identifiers

The web game stores an anonymous identifier in a first-party cookie. The iOS app keeps its own first-party cookie store, so installing the app does not merge an iOS identifier with a Safari identifier. Deleting site data or deleting the app resets that local identity.

04

Tracking and sharing

PopTrace does not sell personal data, use advertising SDKs, build advertising profiles, or combine its data with data from other companies' apps and websites. We do not use App Tracking Transparency because we do not track users across companies.

05

Service providers and security

Cloudflare hosts the game, real-time connections and privacy-safe analytics. Data is transmitted over HTTPS or secure WebSockets. Access to operational analytics is restricted.

06

Retention

Raw gameplay analytics are retained by Cloudflare Analytics Engine for up to three months. Verified game records and privacy-safe daily aggregates can be kept longer so the game can preserve records, personal history, Duel outcomes and long-term product trends. PopTrace does not retain advertising profiles because it does not create them.

07

Your choices

You can reset the anonymous web identifier by clearing the site's cookies and storage. On iOS, deleting the app clears the app's local data. Because PopTrace does not know your real-world identity, it cannot use an anonymous identifier to identify you outside the game.
